I've been guiding for 13 years... Just call a forward and paddle to guy... Dont throw a rope if you dont need to... Just paddle to hime and go get him... Maybe blow your whistle so the boat ahead of you knows you have a swimmer... Ugh, also dont pull someone in backwards like that... Also, don't just dilly dally next to the shore all day and get caught on a log, if you do...maybe call a highside when you're flipping. My god... I hope this guy neva tries to guide anywhere near me. Oh mer gerd... not top guide.

Real leader, but needs to work on a few things if he can, throw bag skill is a big one having a throw bag is great but landing the rope within 10 feet of someone is extremely helpful, going landscaping through the trees, worrying about 1 missing paddle so much he stopped guiding, got backwards and flipped of a log/tree/rock thing in a river this wide thats honestly impressive, but not in a good way. all that was one or two paddle calls, or even a j stroke away from being fine, your boat doesnt stop just because you have a swimmer and because he dropped his paddle, and being the water soooo long after he flipped ( this is all coming from someone who rafts class 4 on a creek you just dont have the time to be doing all the stuff he does)
